Portraits of 2 Very Special Boys

I was on a memory trip wandering through photos when I came across these portraits I did in gouache.  They were for a wonderful couple who foster children with special needs.  The love they have for these children is palpable.  It was an incredible experience for me and only the 3rd time I had done a portrait.

The children had passed away and the clients wanted a better memory than the photos they had.  So as I worked through the process with them, using the grainy photos as a guide, I got to know the children.  Very beautiful with lots of love and personality.

The couples reaction to the finished product was very emotional.  What a privilege.
