Art Helps to Save Lives

Thank you to Oatley 101 artists Vicki Hazzard and Soheir Ehinger, who donated a wonderful framed painting each as the major prizes in the ‘Response for Life’ fundraiser held in conjunction with the Ardency Exhibition in March this year.

As a result, a defibrillator was presented to the Minerva School in Sutherland at a function hosted by Sutherland Rotary. On your behalf, I was honoured to join Christian Zuza from ‘Response for Life’ and Sara Swift, Principal of Minerva School for that presentation. Sara said that it will be gratefully received by the school community.

In the last 3 years Oatley 101 has been supporting “Response for Life”in conjunction with the major art exhibition we run for Ardency Aroona in Yowie Bay, Sydney. Each year 2 of our artists donate an amazing artwork each for the fundraiser. As a result 6 defibrillators have made their way to local sporting and community groups.

I am so very proud of what our society has achieved with the amazing teams from Ardency Aroona and “Response for Life”.
