Recognition in the Australian Federal Parliament

David Coleman is a genuinely decent man  who is the Federal Member for Banks in NSW.  He makes time to speak with us all and is aware of all that is going on in the electorate.  David always follows through on everything he commits to and I must point out the list is comprehensive.  Consequently when he sent me this extract from a speech he delivered to Parliament in August, I was very proud of the Oatley 101 Society of Artists as well as myself.

This values what we do. The wonderful local business which have supported us for the last 4 years have made a huge difference to our community involvement.  We also have support from outside the electorate. Our newsletter has all of these wonderful businesses acknowledged.  During this time we have supported many important, local community art education and art therapy programs.  Our membership is 222 at last count and growing. We offer our artists a wide range of opportunities to learn about, participate in and exhibit art.

So to be acknowledged in Parliament is pretty amazing.  To be registered in Hansard is wonderful.
