Retina Association Fundraiser 2014

 The Retina Association held its annual fundraising dinner at the Crystal Palace, Luna Park in Sydney.  What a beautiful venue.  The evening was so much fun.  This is the only fundraising event for research into retinal degeneration.  It is proudly sponsored by Yates and Burke's Backyard. This is the second year I have donated a painting to this worthy cause. This year Judy Horton announced her retirement from Yates at the dinner.  My painting of Tawney Frogmouths (The Two of Us) appealed to Judy a great deal.  Her wonderful colleagues bought it at auction and presented it to her that evening.  It was a lovely experience for me.  To think my painting connected so much. I feel privileged to be able to make a little bit of a difference to the fundraiser and to the amazing group coordinating the event.
