Lesson 3 in Acrylics With Three Young Artists

Three Brilliant Young Artists

On a very hot Tuesday (thank goodness for air con) three young artists used fresh flowers as inspiration to develop design concepts. Using vibrant colours (mainly warm) they drew, cut and traced the shapes they wished to use. They then selected background for impact and painted these incredible works – all in 2 hours. Throughout we discussed the techniques they used, their own decisions as to placement of shape and use of colour to achieve balance.
The youngest artist is 7 years old and the other 2 are 10. Not bad at all.
Must admit to being pretty chuffed with it all. If you could see their faces you would know how chuffed they are.
