Lesson 2. Shape, colour and line.
I was asked to tutor a lovely young lady in creative art. TH loves art….any art. I do not teach art. What I do is provide a process, a series of experiences which allow the young artist to be in control of their own creativity. They are able to plan their artwork and decide on the design and direction it will take. The environment is fun and has no pressure. I am the guide on this journey.
Today TH was playing with a contemporary or semi abstract design which used line, shape and a limited colour palette. The work is all her own. To say I am chuffed with what she achieved in 2 hours is an understatement.
We will build on this in the next sessions.
