Demonstration in Acrylic for the Southern Cross Art Group.

In October I had a great evening demonstrating a painting of a juvenile magpie in acrylic for the Southern Cross Art Group. It was a lovely evening with fellow artists who were so welcoming and very interested in what I do. Following is the report on the demonstration.

“Dad Said There Would be Days Like These” juvenile magpie painted in acrylic on stretched canvas.

REPORT on OCTOBER DEMONSTRATION FOR SOUTHERN CROSS ART GROUP by local Artist: – GERALDINE TAYLOR
by Margaret Lacey

Geraldine is always so easy to follow and knows what she is doing in such a casual way and prepared well for the presentation of her young magpie on a red canvas. The detail in acrylic was there with the fluffy feathers of a young bird. “Mr Personality” took on a very cheeky look by the time the evening drew to a close.
A special “Thank you” to Geraldine for bringing along some Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylic and Acrylic Medium Samples for us to each take home and try for ourselves.
A very enjoyable evening was had by all, and on display were some of her completed works.
She expressed her appreciation for the knowledge she has gained whilst President of Oatley 101 Society of Artists, over the last five years and is looking forward to giving herself more time to paint in the future.
